Attendance will be taken at noon each class day in the Mac Lab. It is the student's responsibility to keep to the schedule above. There will be a 10 point deduction from the project listed in the header for each scheduled lab a student misses without a written excuse!

With good time management much of the non-linear editing required for this course can be completed during scheduled lab time. There are enough computers for students to edit during every class period if desired.

Because there is only 1 A/B roll suite, time will have to be scheduled outside of class time to complete the 2 projects. The instructor will demonstrate the system to 3 students at a time, helping each to begin the first A/B roll assignment. ALL 3 students scheduled for the A/B roll editing demo with the instructor should report at noon WITH a DVCPro tape AND a music CD containing a ONE MIN. MUSIC BED!

Each student is assigned one additional class day to work on A/B roll assignments. The instructor will check in from time to time and offer some assistance, but it is the student's responsibility to report with all required materials and demonstrate an understanding of A/B roll editing to the instructor. It will require MUCH more than this 3-hour block to complete the 2 A/B roll projects!

The Motion Tutorial and Title Sequence Assignments may require scheduling additional lab time. They are due on April 20th, at which time the tutorial will be checked on the computers and the Sequences will be shown to the class on the I/O unit.

NOTE: ALL students are extected to attend all viewing days listed in the syllabus:

18 Feb., 11 March, 25 March, 8 April, 20 April and 22 April.

An unexcused absence will result in at 10% reduction from the grade for the project scheduled for viewing on that day.

NOTE: Red denotes changes in the schedule due to the class cancellation on 1/28.
