TVR 510, Studio Production Exercise

For this exercise the class will produce a series of 3 minute interview/demonstration programs, with each student serving in each crew position. Cast and crew responsibilities are as follows:

1. Host- Intro and close the program using format sheet. Ask biographical questions for 2 minutes and then direct guest to demo the "invention."

2. Guest- Respond to the Host's biographical questions and demo "invention" when asked.

3. Camera Operators- Frame shots as called for by the Director. Camera 1 operator will cue talent and give time signals.

4. Prompter- Will scroll prompter script for Host at beginning and end of the show.

5. Audio Technician- Get audio levels. Pot microphones up and out, and ride gain.

6. Technical Director- Operate switcher as directed by Director.

A variety of shots and camera movement will be used in this exercise to allow the camera operators to become familiar with the equipment. This should not be taken as a model for conducting an interview program.
