Each objective must be written in correct behavioral terms including all 3 parts (conditions, behavior and criterion). Additionally, each of the 3 objectives must be at a different level of Bloom's Taxonomy (knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, evaluation) and the level must be identified.
While the intent is that these will be 3 of the objectives to be included in the treatment for the student's studio project, they need not be. Projects evolve!
An example of a goal statement might be: The viewer will learn how to shoot high quality video footage for an event video.
Three sample objectives might include:
1. Given a diagram of a DVCPro camcorder the viewer will be able to label the major switches and controls with 85% accuracy. Level=knowledge.
2. Given a catalog of video supplies the viewer will be able to select the correct type of video cassetes for use with a DVCPro camcorder with 100% accuracy. Level=comprehension.
3. Given a DVCPro camcorder, tape and tripod, the viewer will be able to shoot footage of a family reunion which is properly exposed, correctly color balanced and does not shake. Level=application.
